I started WW on December 3rd, 2020. At 11:09AM to be exact.
I stepped on the scales to find myself at 321.6 lbs right on that starting moment. And today, May 6th, I’m at a high of 330.2 lbs. Ahh, yeah. I PUT ON weight.
Fast forward to a couple of days ago, when a virtual friend from WW told me she had hit a goal of 90.3 lbs lost. She went on to say while it’s not easy, she did it by doing the program. Doing WW. She tracked food and put in lots of activity. Just like WW tells us to do. Do the program.
Another friend announced she’d hit her goal this week. I think she was down 60-ish. She followed the plan. She did get very active by hitting 10,000+ steps daily for weeks and weeks. She killed it! So proud of her…
So I thought long and hard about it. About choosing lower point foods. And walking. Lots of walking. So here I am, Thursday, May 6, 2021. Starting over. It’s a reboot. I’ve had several shitty weeks. But I didn’t quit and here I am starting fresh.
I attend a bunch of virtual workshops with WW daily. Like a couple a day, actually. I’ve been to a workshop every day since Dec 3rd, with the exceptions of Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Years Day, and Easter. WW in Canada was shut down on Family Day, so I attended a virtual meeting in the States. I love them. I get so many tips and tricks from the coaches and other participants.
So tonight I hit the sack with full intention to get the reboot going now. Right now. No more late night McDonalds runs after everyone else is asleep. No more grocery store stops for a tub of Hagaan-Daz, which I’d sit and eat THE ENTIRE THING in the parking lot. And no more gas station chocolate bars, washed down with a bottle of Coke.
I’ll get moving more. I’m not sure how long it’ll take, but I’d love to get up over 10,000 steps a day. I’ll be lucky to hit 5,000 a day to start. I’ve got to get this obese frame moving a little at a time.
